A1 / A2 Licence
A1 Light Motorcycles
This involves passing the practical tests on a machine between 120 and 125cc. If you are aged between 17 and 19 the A1 light motorcycle test is the only License you can obtain. However anyone over this age can also choose to obtain the A1 license. Upon passing the A1 you will have a full license to ride on motorways and take pillion passengers, but you will only be able to ride motorcycles up to 125cc that produces a maximum up to 11 Kwh (14.6 Bhp) .
A2 Standard motorcycles
This involves passing the practical tests on a machine at least a 245cc. If you are aged 19 or over the A2 standard motorcycle License is availiable for you to obtain. The engine power must be minimum of 20 Kwh and NOT exciding 35 Kwh. Upon passing the A2 you will have a full license and can ride on motorways and take pillion passengers. but you will be restricted to a maximum power ourput of 35 Kwh or 46 Bhp.
